A midnight blue Paithani silk saree with little gold zari diamond shaped buttas, has a gold tissue temple border with colourful peacock (mor) and parrot (tota) motifs amidst lotus vines. These motifs are repeated on the gold tissue Paithani pallu. Paithani sarees hold a treasured place in the trousseau of a Maharashtrian bride. It embodies the spirit of true Maharashtrian culture.
