Prussian blue Banarasi silk Shikargah saree - smooth, lustrous and lush. A stunning, enduring full Kadwa weave, with motifs of peacocks, horses, elephants, lions, scrolling vines, flora and fauna, Shikargah is a unique, Banarasi handloom speciality that mirrors the animals and birds of a royal hunt in the jungle. The border, a delightful pink, also has shikargah animal motifs along with floral vines in a combination of silver and gold zari, referred to as roopa and sona. The contrast gold and silver zari pallu has the shikargah animal motifs within large paisleys. The motifs have all been woven into the saree using the painstaking kadwa technique. This masterpiece comes with a plain self blue blouse with a contrast red kaddi border.
