A ravishing rose red Banarasi silk masterpiece , woven to perfection using the Kadwa technique. The little leaf shaped floral buttas in gold and silver zari are neat, pretty and immaculate, which is accomplished by the Kadwa process in which each motif is painstakingly woven separately and then incorporated into the saree - a laborious, though robust, procedure that does not leave any threads on the rear that need to be snipped off. The cream matka silk temple border has pretty floral buttas in red, orange and yellow interspersed with gold zari. The expanse of zari kaddi on the cream matka silk pallu ends with a recurrence of the floral vines theme. The plain cream blouse with the floral vines border completes this rich, artistic and aristocratic saree.
